Wild Swim Snowdonia’s ethos is simple.
We want to get more people swimming in whatever way we can.

We’d like you to ditch the man made environment and get stuck into nature.

With the right precautions and mindset, wild swimming doesn’t have to be dangerous.  On the day, we will give you a safety briefing so you can switch off and enjoy.

To keep you safe, we recommend:

  • you can swim 100m unaided

  • you are comfortable in open water

  • you have the right swimming gear for you e.g. skins (costume/trunks), wetsuit, googles, swim hat etc

  • you have wetsuit boots (this is something we insist on i.e. no boots, no swim!)

  • you bring the items on our kit list we send you when you book with us*

  • you follow our guidance and advice once in the water

Both guides and co-founders have qualifications in REC Emergency First Aid in the Outdoors and RLSS Open Water Lifeguard.

We recommend you have your own insurance.

*The kit list we recommend may vary depending on time of year you are swimming with us
